The signal that 8,000 demos are part of the latest Steam Next Fest has driven me to distraction… and then action. Higher Plain Games, along with the rest of the Higher Plain Network, stands for human creativity and art. I’d rather play 1,000 flawed human experiences over a single derivative generative AI slopfest. Now is the time to start curating those developers who stand with me on those principles.
