I am super excited for Nippon Marathon 2: Daijoubu. I adore the original, and it is a personal 10/10 and a family favourite. It is a 1-4 player obstacle race game show that answers the question of what the love child of Takeshi’s Castle and It’s A Knockout would play like. The sequel is coming to early access soon, and I’ve been lucky enough to get to play one of the stages not included in the current demo.
Shika Shika Deer Town is a stage that runs through a Japanese temple that’s been taken over by deer. Running through zen gardens, waterfalls, and festival shops whilst deer chase you down and headbutt you to the ground. Each stage has unique traps and set pieces, and this stage includes a giant bat-bird that attacks you on a balloon ride! Eek.
I am loving how Nippon Marathon 2: Daijoubu is shaping up and can’t wait to buy it whenever it is ready for early access. You can add it to your Steam wishlist now.
