Music, rhythm, and audio production games and tools are next on the list to dive into for Spring 2026’s Steam Next Fest. I tried out 19 games, and whilst I wishlisted 14 of them, there are definitely a few personal favourites that pull clear of the rest. I was also incredibly disappointed to find that a few of the demos of games I was looking forward to contained generative AI artwork or music. My stance on this is firm. I do not intend to buy games or art that is generated by AI. Give me human-crafted experiences 100 times out of 100, please.
The games discussed in this half-hour video are:
- Musynx Returns
- Flutterdash
- In Falsus
- Bunny Beats
- Song Runner
- Puppergiest
- Give Me Back
- Heavenly Guitars
- Beat Hero
- Lily Fantasia
- Music Hell
- DJ Life Simulator
- Hyper Flex Ultra
- Mukke Music Machine
- Soundscapes
- Noly Rhythm
- Upbeat
- Type the Rhythm
- Catch Flex
