I’ve had the privilege to be part of the jury of the Critics Choice award for IndieCup Europe 2024. It was a long process narrowing down 298 game submissions to a single winner. This happened in two stages 2. Stage 1 involved me creating an initial shortlist of 106 games, eventually narrowing it down to 21 recommendations to put through to stage 2. The other jury members did the same and that gave us 11 submissions that made their way into stage 2. This video covers my thoughts and feedback on those 11 submissions. A future video will be a trailer reel of the games I shortlisted, and a third video will provide feedback on what helped me understand a games pitch when being a jury member for something with 298 submissions!
