I’ve been periodically returning back to GeneRally 2, the promising top-down single-screen racer and it comes with one of the best track editing tools out there. Having just received its last update before its big online multiplayer feature is added, I dived back into the game to showcase its improvements.
With this extended video, I race around 12 of track creator Strava’s tracks that you can download from the Steam Workshop integration. They showcase some of the track editor features, whilst the AI improvements are shown off with the improved racing and chaos on track. My apologies for the voice-over audio being a bit low in the mix. It felt disingenuous to do a second take as I’d have an upper hand on the racing.
GeneRally 2 is out on early access on Steam.
