Like its original counterpart, Wreckfest 2 launched into early access yesterday. Whilst the game is light on content, what is here is refined, exactly, and in my case bug free. The driving feels a little more predictable and stable before the damage creeps in and the AI feels more calculated and aggressive yet clean to race with. The damage and physics are already impressive and a natural extension of the originals’ impressive taste for carnage. Online multiplayer felt smooth too. I’m excited for where this leads and optimistic the game will develop well given Bugbear’s previous track record with the original title. Enjoy this non-scored launch impressions video.
