It is time to look at racing and driving games from Steam Next Fest October 2024. This list is a little less car and driving centric compared to previous iterations because very few car games were included in this edition. This is also a very mixed bag of some fantastic entries such as Lonely Mountains Snow Riders and Turbo Dismount 2 propping up a few very clunky demos. In some cases, I think the lack of polish and stability of the demo really impacted my experience to the point where I feel the developer would have benefitted as marketing it outside of the festival as an alpha or beta playtest. When there are nearly 3,000 games in the festival – there isn’t much time to fiddle about with something that crashes every 30 seconds.
